There are two ways to apply excimer laser to the eye. In Lasik, the valve known as the flap is raised using a femtosecond laser.

What should be taken into account following laser eye surgery?
Limiting screen time is helpful because eye dryness may occur, especially in the first month following laser surgery. The first week involves no eye makeup. In addition, it is advised against using sea glasses or going into the pool or ocean for the first month.
WHO IS INELIGIBLE FOR LASER SURGERY?
As of this point, the excimer laser can treat astigmatism and hyperopia up to 5 diopters, and myopia up to 8 diopters. The thickness and structural qualities of the corneal tissue to be treated must be suitable for this treatment as the primary consideration when choosing an excimer laser. The only other requirements are that our patients be at least 18 years old and that their eyeglasses have not changed in the previous 12 months. On the other hand, patients who wear contact lenses should forgo wearing them for at least a week.
